MORE Online Social Groups Thanks To The National Lottery Community Fund & Government Coronavirus Community Fund

Published by Helena on

Here at happily, we have adapted our project to take place online so that we can continue to support our members to make friends and build relationships during the Covid-19 Pandemic!

Over the past 3 months we have hosted online zoom social meetings which have included quizzes, baking and a carnival themed party. The sessions have created a fun and safe environment for members to make new friends while receiving support from volunteers. Member feedback has been very positive, with 90% of participants saying they felt less lonely, less bored or more connected with friends during lockdown.

Following the success of these socials, we are very excited to announce that we will be running more! Funding from the Coronavirus Community Support Fund, distributed by The National Lottery Community Fund, will enable happily to run additional online social sessions over the next six months. Happily would like to say a big thank you to the Government for making this possible!

This activity will be open to happily members and the wider learning disability community who live in our coverage area in West London. If you like the sound of our socials then please do get involved and try a session to see if you enjoy it. You can simply sign up by registering your details here:
