Updated Website Thanks to Media Trust, The Fore & Fantastic Volunteer!
Earlier this year, we decided we needed to update our website so we could shout about all the fantastic work we do. BUT we didn’t know how to get started- luckily The Fore kindly put us in contact with Media Trust who were able to help. Media Trust is a charity which works in partnership with the media and creative industry to support projects like ours!
Media Trust linked us up with a wonderful volunteer called Julia who was able to help us make the website tweaks we wanted and more! Julia has added a blog, a fundraising page and made the website more accessible. We hope you like it! Here is Julia in her own words:
“I thought happily was a fantastic idea and it was great to see the amazing work Helena has done in getting the project off the ground, especially in developing support networks with partner charities and trusts through her outreach work. I wanted to lend my skills to help the project continue supporting its members to meet new people and build relationships. Volunteer work like this for charities is really important right now, where those who are especially vulnerable and isolated need our attention as well as the staff and volunteers in keeping key services, like happily, running for the benefit of others”Julia, Volunteer happily Website Developer
Julia is currently a legal information professional and looking to gain more experience in web design and coding. Her main interests are content management and user experience, especially how technology can help charities and organisations get their message across to best support their members. If you are interested in working with Julia, you can find her details in LinkedIn or sign up to Media Trust.
